You know those somewhat dog-faced, colourful, Chinese dragons? In parades? Usually accompanied by many a crash, boom, wiggle and bang....dancing...firecrackers galore...and such?

..Well I found this marvelous creation of nature, (among many others), on the shores of Lake Superior while ice-hiking with *wb-skinner. It reminded me strongly of the aforementioned dragons.

Maybe you see it as well. :?

The paradox of life is that throughout it you create your own prison by how you perceive reality... and then try to escape from it...

Incredible! I've been in and by Lake Superior many times, but I've never seen anything this beautiful!

Thank god there was someone there to take the shot ^^

Thanks very much, Eduardo. It was an interesting moment and a turning point in photography for me- ...perhaps even in philosophy as well.

Cheers.

I do see it... and so clearly so that I thought you'd had an ice sculpture made and let it melt a while before taking this shot. Wow.

Nicely seen.

Thanks very much, Stefanie! Oh yes... the ice. It almost gives me cause to wish for winter again. ....Almost. ;)

It does look like a dragon. :aww: And you took one magnificent photo. I like how the sun is shining through the ice, it looks amazing. :)

Awwww! ...Thanks a lot!! :aww:

It's interesting. As far as 'my' work goes, this photo is my most popular one on dA. ---But the the actual hard copy photo, (which looks the same), is often overlooked or lowly rated. Strange.

Thanks again for your comment!! AND favourite! :D
